Lynn

Lynn was born and raised in Cereal Alberta and moved to Red Deer in 1984. She has a degree in Home Economics and has loved her sewing machine ever since. She has 3 children and one grandson whom she loves spending time with. Lynn has been an essential part of our team since 2001 and has specialized in wedding gown alterations for over 20 years. Her favourite aspect of her job is helping brides feel confident and beautiful for their wedding day.

Shanaz

This soft spoken gem has been with us since 2019. She was born in Afghanistan and moved to Canada in 2015. Growing up she was always around a sewing machine as her mother was a seamstress as well. She got her sewing and alterations certificate at just 18 years old and has been sewing ever since. She spends her free time with her family and her 4 children. Shanaz loves the connections she gets to make with each bride and seeing the different bridal fashion year to year.

Jan

Since sitting behind a sewing machine during her teenage years, Jan has always had a passion for sewing! She started her own company 25 years ago where she altered and repaired a variety of garments including wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses. After moving to Sylvan Lake in 2005 she continued her sewing business until she became a part of the Classic Cleaners and now Altered Gown team where she was able to expand her sewing knowledge even more. Her favourite part of working on bridal gowns is seeing the bride’s happy face when they feel beautiful and confident after achieving the perfect fit. If they cry, even better!

Jacqui

Jacqui has been working on bridal gowns for over 20 years and is one of the best bridal seamstresses in the business. Starting sewing at just 12 years old Jacqui is completely self taught. When Jacqui is not sewing she spends her time with her husband, her 2 basset hounds and her 5 grandchildren. She most enjoys the reward she gets out of perfecting the fit of each gown she alters and seeing the joy in the clients face. “My goal is always to make alterations an integral part of the clients' bridal experience.”
