What is MuseumCare TM preservation?
MuseumCareTM Preservation is a specialized method designed to prevent yellowing and deterioration of fabric over time, ensuring your gown remains in pristine condition for years to come. This service includes packaging your gown in an acid-free, archival-quality chest, carefully lined with acid-free tissue paper. The chest is not sealed, allowing the fabric to breathe naturally while still protecting it from environmental damage. You can also access and inspect your gown whenever you’d like. For safe handling, a pair of white cotton gloves is provided.

Step 1
Consultation with our wedding gown specialist where we carefully inspect your gown for damage and stains. Any bead work, embroidery, sequins and any other fine details are carefully repaired (if needed) and protected for the cleaning process. We then take photos and document every part of the gown in order to maintain each detail.
Step 2
Every gown has a unique blend of materials that is individual to the dress. We meticulously clean every gown to protect delicate beading, lace, and embroidery. We ensure all stains, both visible and hidden, are removed. No bathtub here or plastic bins here! We use a combination of customized gentle programming for our specialty washers and proprietary pre and post spotting techniques to ensure your gown is carefully and gently cleaned so it looks as good as new!
Step 3
If you opt for our AWGS Gown Preservation, we carefully pack and preserve your clean gown using a museum-quality process and acid-free materials. This exclusive process uses the highest quality preservation chests on the market to ensure your gown is protected from acids, oils and light that causes gowns to yellow over time.
